Victory for Raw Milk in AR

We Did It! Dairy Producers Win in Arkansas!

Great news for Arkansas dairy farmers and raw milk supporters—House Bill 1048 has officially been signed by the Governor! This marks a huge victory for small dairy producers and consumers who have been advocating for greater access to raw, unpasteurized milk.

What This Means

The new law, set to take effect by late June, allows dairy farmers to sell raw milk beyond their farms. Producers will now be able to meet their customers at farmers markets or through direct deliveries, making raw milk more accessible while still following safety regulations. However, grocery store sales remain prohibited, and farmers are still limited to selling no more than 500 gallons per month.

A Win for Local Farmers & Consumers

This is a major step forward in supporting local agriculture, strengthening connections between farmers and their communities, and promoting food freedom. By allowing off-farm sales, small dairy producers can expand their customer base while consumers gain easier access to the fresh, local products they want.

What’s Next?

With this bill becoming law, Arkansas joins a growing movement of states recognizing the importance of raw milk access. Stay tuned as we move forward into this new chapter for dairy producers in our state!

Thank you to everyone who supported this effort—this victory belongs to all of us! 🎉🥛
